The Unity in the Community organization recently received a seasonal Christmas Cheer grant from the Polk County Community Foundation. This grant will allow the organization to host the 7th Annual Sharing in the Community Senior Citizen Christmas Social.

This event will be a restaurant-style setting, and will allow the seniors to be waited on and pampered for the evening. All attendees will receive a free gift, a catered meal, and will feature games, live music and entertainment.

The Senior Citizen Christmas Social will be held on Dec. 18, at 4 p.m., at the Zion Grove’s G. Riddle Banquet Hall, 5620 Pea Ridge Rd., Mill Spring. This event is free and open to all citizens 62 years old and above, of Polk County and Landrum area. Seating is limited. You may call 828-289-0495 or 828-429-8503 to RSVP.
