Capping an 18-7 season and a second-round appearance in the state 2A playoffs, Polk County placed four players on the all-Western Highlands Conference volleyball team.

Senior Addie Lynch, juniors Reagan Waddell and Kendall Hall and sophomore Ansley Lynch were chosen by league coaches for the all-conference squad. It is the third all-WHC selection for Hall and the second for Waddell and Addie Lynch.

Hendersonville’s Cyrena Bedoian and Mountain Heritage’s Alex Boone were named co-players of the year, with Mountain Heritage head coach Rose Cummings named the league’s coach of the year.
