With the hustle and bustle of the holidays upon us, quality time with the ones you love can be hard to come by. TFAC is offering the chance for couples to slow down and enjoy a romantic evening together with the next Main Stage performance, Nnenna Freelon and the John Brown Trio, on Saturday, Dec. 10 at 8 p.m.

Vocalist Freelon and bassist Brown blend their silky jazz stylings seamlessly, mixing beloved standards and favorite Christmas tunes, with a few fun surprises thrown in. The performance will start at 8 p.m., leaving plenty of opportunity for exploring Polk County’s antique stores, dining at one of Tryon’s romantic restaurants, and sharing a glass of wine before the show.

“Tryon is really a one-stop shop for a date night,” said TFAC executive director Marianne Carruth. “You can enjoy everything the town has to offer, and then finish up the evening with a one-of-a-kind jazz performance at TFAC. There are even B&Bs within walking distance. It’s the perfect chance to plan a night out that’s romantic, thoughtful, and keeps husbands off the naughty list!”
