Kathryn Case Greene, 85, of Columbus, N.C. passed away Nov. 24, 2016 at the Hospice House of the Carolina Foothills. She was the daughter of the late Virgil and Helen Parton Case and the wife of the late Roy Greene Sr.

She was the owner and operator of Kathryn’s Beauty Shop and a member of Columbus Baptist Church.

Kathryn was predeceased by her brothers and sisters, Marion “Buck”, Ruth, Charles, Myrtle, Roy and Joyce. She was survived by a son, Roy Greene, Jr. of Landrum; three daughters, Olivia “Sissy” Clontz of Monroe, N.C., Teresa Greene and Tena Greene-Porter both of Columbus, N.C.; two sisters, Doris Stott and Faith Ross both of Columbus; five grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and two great- great-grandchildren.

The family received friends from 2-3 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 27, 2016 at Petty Funeral Home. Funeral services followed at 3 p.m. at the funeral home chapel conducted by Rev. Phil Hurst. Burial was in Landrum Cemetery.
