Polk County District Court results for Nov. 16

During Polk County District Court on Wednesday, Nov. 16, 2016, with Judge Peter Knight presiding, 129 cases were heard. Some cases were continued, dismissed or sent to superior court.

The following persons were convicted of a crime:

Leshawn Edwin Adams was convicted of possession of marijuana up to ½ ounce. Adams was sentenced to 12 months unsupervised probation, a $50 fine and court costs.

Antonio Ignaci Alonso was convicted of speeding 100 mph in a 65 mph zone. Alonso was fined $100 and court costs.

Kelvin Tremayne Blunt was convicted of rear seat belt violation. Blunt was fined $100.

Jassmen Jaquin Counts was convicted of resisting public officer. Counts was sentenced to nine days in jail with credit.

Sierra Kathryn Evans was convicted of speeding 74 mph in a 65 mph zone. Evans was fined $90 and court costs.

Wendy Leigh Frizzell was convicted of operating a vehicle with improper equipment. Frizzell was fined $40 and court costs.

Ashley Ann Galentine was convicted of operating a vehicle with improper equipment. Galentine was fined $40 and court costs.

Caleb Everett Kunath was convicted of driving while license revoked-impaired revocation. Kunath was sentenced to 12 months unsupervised probation, a $75 fine and court costs.

James Herbert McKay was convicted of operating a vehicle with improper equipment. McKay was fined $40 and court costs.

William D. Mosseller was convicted of level one driving while impaired and driving after consuming under age 21. Mosseller was sentenced to 30 days in jail, 24 months supervised probation and court costs.

James Dale Price was convicted of operating a vehicle with improper equipment. Price was fined $40 and court costs.

Ashley Nicole Smith was convicted of resisting public officer. Smith was sentenced to 30 days in jail with credit for time served.

Anna Hamberis Stalter was convicted of speeding 92 mph in a 65 mph zone. Stalter was fined $92 and court costs.

Ryan C. Wetherill was convicted of operating a vehicle with improper equipment. Wetherill was fined $40 and court costs.
