Columbus Fire Department October report

During the month of October 2016, the Columbus Fire Department answered 98 calls for service.

Calls included 54 medical calls, one rescue call, 10 fire alarms, one structure fire, two brush fires, five vehicle fires, one trash/rubbish fire, one landing zone, one motor vehicle accident with injuries, six motor vehicle accidents without injuries, two no incident found, one tree down with power lines, four tree down without power lines, four stranded motorists, three calls for public service, one motor vehicle accident without injury in the Saluda Fire response area and one call for public service in the Saluda Fire response area.

Firefighters also received 282 training hours during the month of October.
