During the month of October 2016, the Saluda Police Department answered 172 calls for service.

There were nine arrests, 37 state citations issued, 13 city citations issued, 42 warning tickets, two accidents, one larceny, two breaking and entering, nine welfare checks, seven alarms, four open doors, 28 suspicious person/vehicle calls and two for property damage.

Officers conducted one license check in Saluda, assisted three license checks with the Polk County Sheriff’s office and Columbus Police Department, assisted the fire department four times, the Polk County Sheriff’s Office 10 times, the Columbus Police Department once, the N.C. Highway Patrol once and patrolled 4,275 miles.
