Friends of Agriculture breakfast to feature beekeeping discussion

Polk County Office of Agricultural Economic Development and Polk County Farm Bureau are pleased to invite you to our monthly Friends of Agriculture Breakfast on Wednesday, Nov. 16.

Each Friends of Agriculture Breakfast features a delicious, hearty breakfast and a speaker on areas of interest to our community of farmers, gardeners, and food enthusiasts. This is a free event, held from 7-8 a.m. at the 4-H Building, 135 Locust St. in Columbus.

This month’s breakfast will feature a discussion about beekeeping in North Carolina from Lewis Cauble, apiary inspector with N.C. Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services.

Don’t forget our community members in need. Donations of canned foods will be collected at this event to benefit the clients of Thermal Belt Outreach Ministry.
