Ann Robinson Maxwell

Ann Robinson Maxwell, beloved wife of J. David Maxwell, died on Nov. 7, 2016 while in the care of Hospice House of Carolina Foothills, in Landrum, S.C. Her husband, David Maxwell, and her brother, Ben Robinson, were with her, holding her hand.

Ann was born in Fayetteville, N.C., on Oct. 8, 1940. She was a graduate of The University of South Carolina (1962). Her professional career was as an English teacher, mainly in Ohio. She was fondly remembered by many students from the 1960s and 1970s.

Ann and David married on July 14, 1962, and lived most of their adult lives in Southwestern Ohio, near Wright-Patterson AFB. Ann was a teacher at Park Hills High School in Fairborn, Ohio, and later at Tipp City High School in Tipp City, Ohio. They retired in 1998 to Polk County, N.C.

Ann is survived by her husband, David, and brother, Ben.

Memorials may be made to The Foothills Humane Society in Polk County, N.C., and/or to Hospice House of the Carolina Foothills in Landrum, S.C.
