Published 10:00 pm Thursday, November 10, 2016

Feeling creative? This Watercolor Wednesday is all about learning how to make your own Christmas cards. Please join us on Wednesday, Nov. 16 from 2:30-3:30 p.m. at A Small Work of Art Gallery located at Down to Earth Garden Center, 1080 South Trade Street in Tryon. Light refreshments will be provided by Down to Earth and Chef Richard Ruben of Seasons to Taste.

Local artist Kim Attwooll will demonstrate many simple ideas to inspire you to create your own holiday cards. Kim has been making “one of a kind” greeting cards for over 20 years and has many different effects to share.

She will give you simple watercolor images that you can use to delight your family, friends and associates with this year. When it comes to Christmas cards, nothing makes an impression quite as well as a handmade greeting. Please feel free to bring your camera to help you remember all the various applications.

For those of you who are less inclined to play with watercolor she will give you ideas about enhancing your photos with different mediums and adhering them to blank cards. Decorating envelopes will also be touched on with simplicity and whimsy.

Space is limited so please call Kim to reserve your chair. She can be reached at 828-395-1640. There is no cost to attend.
