Eleven Polk County High School FFA members attended the 89th National FFA Convention and Career Expo in Indianapolis, Ind. Oct. 18-22. Over 60,000 high school students from across the nation, the Virgin Islands and Puerto Rico participated in this annual event.

Students participated in a career expo, listened to motivational speakers, attended leadership classes, country concert and rodeo. Students received a tour and a meal at the nationally known Fair Oaks located in Fair Oaks, Ind.

Special thanks to the businesses, individuals and organizations that made this trip possible. Chauncey Barber, agricultural teacher, and Monica Barber, teacher/guidance counselor, chaperoned the trip. To see pictures of the convention, like us on Facebook at Polk County FFA.
