The Town of Columbus was recognized this year as a regional site for the celebration of the 2016 Veterans Day Parade by the Veterans Day National Committee. Columbus Town Council met Thursday, Oct. 20 and heard from Bevin Corbin, Polk County Veterans Association president. This year’s Veterans Day parade through downtown Columbus will begin at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 12, with a service taking place following the parade at Veterans Park in Columbus.
