Michael D. Horne of Tryon died on Oct. 13, 2016. He is survived by his mother, Rowena G. Horne Matson, a brother, Jeffrey D. Horne, one son, Kevin Dale of Greenvile, S.C., and one grandson. Services were held at Mill Creek Church of The Brethren on Oct. 15, at 11 a.m.
