To the editor:

Our entire family evacuated from this horrible hurricane to your area. Every person we met was so gracious and accommodating. We were in one of the coffee houses to allow us to get Wi-Fi to check on our homes, businesses and other family, when a kind gentleman offered a chair for me to rest my tired, aching feet. I nearly cried. He really had no idea that through his kind gesture he reaffirmed that small town people have huge hearts. Your townspeople reflect all that is still great in America. Please share our gratitude with your residents.
