To the editor:

This is a particularly heated election season and almost everyone has very strong feelings about their candidates. However, stealing, removing and defacing campaign signs is no way to express your opposition. This is so unpatriotic that I find it hard to believe a citizen of Polk County would do this. Removing an opponent’s campaign signs is a subversion of the democratic process and is also, by the way, illegal. How unpatriotic! Support your candidate. Let others support theirs.
