During the month of September 2016, the Saluda Police Department answered 167 calls for service.

There were seven arrests, including three for drugs and four for outstanding warrants.

Officers assisted the fire department twice, the Polk County Sheriff’s Office 12 times and Columbus Police Department once.

Saluda issued 53 state citations, 11 city citations, issued 37 warnings, responded to three accidents, one larceny, 13 welfare checks, four alarms, 18 suspicious person/vehicle, one property damage and one unconscious person.

The police department also conducted one license check and assisted Polk County and Columbus with four license checks.
