Free Planet Radio performs free concert at TFAC

Our favorite world music sensation, Free Planet Radio, is back from a 30 day, 20 city whirlwind tour of China. We don’t know what stirred things up over there more: Typhoon Megi, or this talented trio!
Even though they were unknown to the Chinese public, every one of the concerts sold 300-600 tickets, and generated great enthusiasm. And of course it was FPR’s ability to engage with their audiences, share their eclectic music and respond to a new cultural experience that created a new fan base on the other side of the planet.
We are fortunate to have them back again at the Tryon Fine Arts Center for an exciting multi-cultural concert in the Peterson Amphitheater on Sunday, Oct. 23 at 3 p.m. You will be treated to a world music tapestry of some of the new pieces written especially for the China tour blended with old favorites including instrumentals and original singer-songwriter tunes.
This Free Community Event is made possible by support from the Polk County Community Foundation. There is no cost to attend. For more information visit freeplanetradio.com or tryonarts.org.
