St. Luke’s Hospital to host open house for Pain Center, Senior Life Solutions

St. Luke’s Hospital will host an open house on Wednesday, Oct. 12, to celebrate the reopening of Senior Life Solutions and the grand opening of the St. Luke’s Hospital Pain Center. Members of the community are invited 3:30-5:30 p.m. to meet the providers and their staff and learn more about the services both offices provide. Healthy refreshments will be provided. The offices are located in Physicians Park at 48 and 50 Hospital Drive in Columbus.

“Senior Life Solutions has been serving the elderly population of this region for years, so they and their patients deserve this beautiful new space,” Kathy Woodham, Marketing and Public Relations Director for St. Luke’s, said. “And the Pain Center is a brand new service we’re offering that has really taken off quickly. We’re excited, and clearly the community is excited, so this open house is everyone’s chance to connect.”

Pain management specialist Javid Baksh, DO, moved to the area earlier in 2016 after connecting with advanced orthopedic surgeon Brian Rosenberg, MD. He and his staff have been seeing patients in the hospital for several months with great reviews from patients. Dr. Baksh hopes that his new office will bring in even more people who need his services.

“My goal is to improve patients’ functionality and quality of life while decreasing pain medication use,” Dr. Baksh said. His practice focuses on alternative medicine therapies and the most innovative, minimally invasive procedures.

Senior Life Solutions (SLS), an intensive outpatient therapy program for groups of seniors at least 65 years of age, is now located next door to the SLH Pain Center.

“We couldn’t be happier to have new neighbors,” Cindy Gibson, program director for SLS, said. “There’s certainly going to be a lot of crossover with our patients, and being next door to one another will be an added convenience to everyone.

“Senior Life Solutions has been at St. Luke’s for years, but we’re always looking for opportunities to reintroduce ourselves and to meet new patients who can benefit from our services, like group therapy, medication management, and psychiatric evaluations.”
