► Landrum Area Business Association planning annual Halloween Stroll and Fall Festival

The Landrum Area Business Association is planning this year’s Halloween Stroll and Fall Festival for Saturday, Oct. 29 from 5 until 7 p.m. The festival’s activities include a bean bag toss, bobbing for apples and pumpkin decorating. A costume contest starting at 7:30 p.m. is open to infants and toddlers, K-5 to second grade, and third to fifth grade. This day will also be the last chance for residents and visitors to vote for their favorite scarecrows lining downtown Landrum at businesses. Ballots can be picked up through business owners in Landrum. All activities will start on East Rutherford Street and continue up N. Trade to the Landrum Depot.

The Landrum United Methodist Church is holding the Trail of Treats community event from 6 to 8 p.m. on October 29. The event will take place in the LUMC Family Life Center Gym and include games, activities, face painters and walking characters. Individually wrapped candy donations are appreciated and donors can contact the church at 864-457-3984 to make their donations.
