Polk County District Court results for Sept. 28

In Polk County District Court on Wednesday, Sept. 28, 2016, with Judge Pete Knight presiding, 125 cases were heard. Some cases were continued, dismissed or sent to superior court.

The following persons were convicted of a crime:

Marcus Niquon Gossett was convicted of possession of marijuana paraphernalia. Gossett was sentenced to 24 hours of community service and court costs.

Austin Taylor Horton was convicted of failure to notify DMV. Horton was fined $75 and court costs.

Matthew Colt Martin was convicted of operating a vehicle with improper equipment. Martin was fined $40 and court costs.

Kaitlyn Gloire Nanney was convicted of possession of marijuana up to ½ ounce. Nanney was fined $50 and court costs.

Christopher Petersen was convicted of operating a vehicle with improper equipment. Petersen was fined $40 and court costs.

Blake Thomas Peterson was convicted of driving after consuming under age 21 and unsafe movement. Peterson was sentenced to one year unsupervised probation, a $25 fine and court costs.

John Wayne Sparks Jr. was convicted of probation violation. Sparks was sentenced to 90 days in jail.

Shenaada L. Wilkie was convicted of open container after consumption of alcohol first. Wilkie was to pay court costs.

Delecia M. Wilkins was convicted of rear seat belt violation. Wilkins was fined $75.

Chelsea Leigh Wilson was convicted of failure to appear on misdemeanor. Wilson was sentenced to one year unsupervised probation and court costs.
