Glassy Mountain FD team joins Fight For Air Climb

Glassy Mountain Fire Department (GMFD) fielded a team of four firefighters to compete in the First Responder Challenge of the American Lung Association’s 5th Annual Fight for Air Climb on Sept. 17 at the Landmark Building in Greenville, S.C. The First Responder Challenge requires firefighters to climb 24 flights of stairs or 516 steps in full turnout gear. GMFD firefighters finished second in both team challenge and amount of funds raised ($661).
