The Friends of the Library welcome new members so they can expand the assistance they provide to Polk County Public Library.

Please join the organization to celebrate and enhance reading and literacy in our community. You can support library programs, participate in book clubs, and help with book sales and get a sneak preview.

Books, DVDs, and CDs withdrawn from the library or donated by the community will be sold.

This fall, we also have an abundance of textbooks donated by Polk County Schools that homeschool families might be interested in.

All proceeds from the book sale are used by the Friends of the Library to support Polk County Public Library through projects such as contributing to the children’s Summer Reading Program and other events, sponsoring development opportunities for the library staff, holding appreciation events for the library volunteers, and planning free programs and speakers of general interest for the community.

Polk County Public Library has a main library in Columbus and a branch in Saluda, as well as outreach services. To learn more, visit polklibrary.org.
