Lady Rebekah of Waynesboro, or simply Rebekah, as she is known at Tryon Estates, is Tryon Lindabury’s 8½-year-old yellow Labrador retriever. She is certified as a therapy dog through Therapy Dogs International. Rebekah works five days a week spreading love and joy in the memory care, skilled medical, assisted living, and independent living areas at Tryon Estates.

When Bekah tore her right rear ACL while exercising earlier this week, Tryon was forced to cancel her visitations until she had surgery and recovers. The day after the announcement, the folks in assisted living got together and the residents and staff presented Rebekah with a get well card signed by staff as well as residents. They also presented her with a gift basket of dog toys and treats.

A big “woof woof woof woof woof” from Rebekah is translated as “Thank you so very much.”
