Sullivan named essay contest winner

The National Society of High School Scholars has named Kerigan Sullivan
of Polk County as a winner of its Academic Paper Award essay contest.
Sullivan, a 2015 graduate of Polk County Early College and 2016 graduate of Isothermal Community College, was one of 25 applicants honored by NSHSS. Award winners receive a $250 scholarship and have their essay published in the NSHSS Academic Papers Digest.
The NSHSS states that “winning papers were selected based on how well the student addressed a particular assignment, while presenting the material in a clear and thoughtful way in the student’s own voice.”
