Stanford University’s Living Healthy with a Chronic Pain workshop is being offered every Monday from Sept. 26 through Oct. 31, 2016 from 9:30 a.m. – 12 p.m.

Join us at the Adawehi Institute, 93 Adawehi Lane, Columbus, N.C. for this six week, 2.5 hour course. Stanford requires two trained leaders to facilitate this detailed course for both persons living with or caring for someone with a wide variety of chronic health conditions and experiencing pain.

The course is not designed to cure pain or chronic conditions, but rather to learn the skills and tools to better manage chronic conditions. Participants will discuss topics such as distraction techniques; preventing falls and improving balance; pain and fatigue management; introduction to physical activity and exercise, endurance activities, making informed treatment decisions and much more.
