Jerry Michael Owens, 70, passed away Wednesday, Sept. 14, 2016 surrounded by his loving family.

Born on November 11, 1945 in Tryon, N.C., Michael was a son of the late Raymond Lee Owens and Dorothy Lynch Owens. He was predeceased by his brother, Ron Owens.

Michael was the owner of Homes and Land Magazine of the Grand Strand. He proudly served his country as a veteran of the US Air Force and was an active member of Christ United Methodist Church. Michael had a larger than life personality. To know him was to love him!

Survivors include his wife, Lisa Reeves Owens; his brother, Alan Owens of Chesnee, S.C.; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life service will be at 2 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 17 at Christ United Methodist Church with Rev. Jeff Dunn and Rev. Danny Chamblee officiating.

The family will receive friends at the church following the service.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Building Fund at Christ United Methodist Church, 2901 Fantasy Way, Myrtle Beach, SC 29579.
