Winding Creek Brewing Co. in Columbus, N.C. is now brewing and serving their own beer in addition to the variety of excellent craft beer they have been serving since they opened in April. This last weekend the first two Winding Creek creations were debuted: Heather Hearth, a Scottish Ale, and Sexie Sadie, a Pale Ale.
Les Potter, owner and brew master, and his staff are encouraged by the consistently high scores both have received on UNTAPPD (ranging from 4-5 on a scale of 5). Two more styles are waiting in the wings and should be added soon.
The brewery is located at 322 East Mills Street, Columbus, N.C., just beyond the downtown Columbus area on the right, when coming from I-26. Open Thursday through Monday, 4 p.m. on weekdays and 2 p.m. on the weekends, the “Creek” offers trivia on Monday nights, open Mic and jam on Thursday, and live music Friday, Saturday nights and most Sunday afternoons.
In addition to the beer, a full menu and local wines are available. It’s a comfortable, kid friendly and dog friendly venue. For more information check them out on Facebook or at wcbrewco.com.
