► Saluda Library window being repaired

During the Saluda Board of Commissioners’ Aug. 8 meeting, commissioner Leon Morgan reported that windows in the library are in the process of being repaired. Morgan also said repairs to Spring Street should also be completed in the next week. Morgan said city hall is keeping a list of pothole complaints and so far 13 had been reported and are in line to be repaired.

► Saluda petitions for a crosswalk at Ozone Drive/U.S. 176

Saluda City Manager Jon Cannon reported to commissioners on Aug. 8 that a petition has been received for a crosswalk at the corner of Ozone Drive and U.S. 176. The petitioners requested support from the city board of commissioners that could be given in the form of a letter. The city forwarded the petition to the N.C. Department of Transportation, which is reviewing the petition.

► Saluda to upgrade McCreery Park flag pole to include Tree City flag

During the Saluda Board of Commissioner Aug. 8 meeting, commissioners approved the addition of a Tree City flag at the pole located in McCreery Park. Don Clapp with Tree City made the request.
