Polk County District Court results for Aug. 24

In Polk County District Court on Wednesday, Aug. 24, 2016, with Judge Peter Knight presiding, 85 cases were heard. Some cases were continued, dismissed or sent to superior court.

The following persons were convicted of a crime:

Zachary Chase Caudill was convicted of operating a vehicle with improper equipment. Caudill was fined $40 and court costs.

Lauren Feldman was convicted of fictitious information to officer. Feldman was sentenced to 12 months unsupervised probation and court costs.

Rashead T. Hamilton was convicted of attempted possession of a firearm by a felon. Hamilton was sentenced to five-15 months in prison.

Brittany C. Harris was convicted of rear seat belt violation. Harris was fined $150.

Ian Gregg Lawrence was convicted of unsafe movement. Lawrence was fined $93 and court costs.

Michael Cary Mix was convicted of operating a vehicle with improper equipment. Mix was fined $40 and court costs.

Joseph Ray Parham was convicted of speeding 74 mph in a 65 mph zone. Parham was fined $90 and court costs.

Jason Leonard Porter was convicted of operating a vehicle with improper equipment. Porter was fined $40 and court costs.

Michelyn Rickenbacker was convicted of level five driving while impaired. Rickenbacker was sentenced to 12 months unsupervised probation, 24 hours of community service, a $100 fine and court costs.
