Yes, it’s true — the Po’Kitties Photo Contest is back, and better than ever! Please support the animals and their people by entering photos of your pet or by becoming a sponsor. Photos must be 5 by 7 inches and be accompanied by an official entry form and a fee. The deadline to enter is Sept. 15.

Photos can be of any animals. Some of the categories will include: Delightful Dogs, Kitten Caboodle, Wild Thing, Po’Kitties, Birds of a Feather, Down on the Farm, and more! All photos will be matted and on display at the gala, with prizes for first place in each category as well as a prize for best in show.

You or your business can be a sponsor at various levels, help the animals in our community, get some publicity and goodies, and have a tax write-off to boot. Call Dana at 828-243-1852 for sponsorship details.

And plan to come to the gala on October 15 at 5:30 p.m. at the Landrum Depot. We are celebrating National Feral Cat Day as well as the Po’Kitties Photo Contest. It’s a great party, with food and wine and a chance to view all the photos. Best of all, it’s free!
