To the editor: 

In response to Virgil Stucker’s letter to the editor on August 24, 2016 where he urges Christians not to vote for Donald J. Trump I wish to encourage all Americans – Christian or non-Christian – to help make America great again by voting for Donald J. Trump.

True violence, intolerance, and hatred comes from the left. Spitting, sucker punching, and life threats towards innocent Trump supporters is common practice by the radical left. Black Lives Matter, Occupy Wall Street, and the far left main- stream media are clear illustrations of hatred, violence, and intolerance. These groups are connected at the hip of the Democrat party.

However, if evil is Virgil’s primary concern he needs to examine America’s two greatest sins – slavery and abortion.

Since the Republican Party was formed in 1854 as the anti-slavery party there were no Republican slave holders. They were mostly – if not all – Democrats. It was the Democrat party that formed the Black Codes and Jim Crow laws and used the KKK as their enforcer. Segregationist such as George Wallace, Lester Maddox, Bull Connor, and Orval Faubus were Democrats. Slavery was and is evil and the Democrat party played a major role in its expansion.

The Republican Party, Abraham Lincoln, and the Civil War defeated slavery – the Democrats fought to maintain and expand it. In 1865 the 13th Amendment was passed to abolish slavery – 100% of Republicans voted yes and only 23% of Democrats voted yea. The Republican Party is proud of its heritage in fighting the evils of slavery.

And what about abortion? This practice is the brutal killing of innocent and defenseless human life by techniques that rivals Islamic terrorists and Nazis evil acts against humankind. The modern day Democrat party will go to the ends of the earth to protect and advocate abortion on demand for any reason at any time. They defend Planned Parenthood which has no problem selling baby body parts for profit and killing babies regardless of their stage of life during the procreation cycle – in or out of the womb. The Republican Party is proud of its pro-life position and will always defend innocent human life from the moment of conception to natural death.

Also, I want to remind my fellow Christians that for the last eight years the Obama regime has had their boots on the throats of Christians. Obama loves that call to Friday prayers, but I don’t recall him ever expressing concern about Christians being slaughtered by extreme Muslins or losing their religious liberties here at home. It is Obama and Clinton that have turned their back on Israel – not Donald J. Trump.

Hillary Clinton has been corrupt, creepy, and sleazy for over 30 years – and she still is. Four years of Hillary Clinton in the White House is four more years of Obama. These folks are not exactly Christian  friendly.
