Polk District Court results for Aug. 17

In Polk County District Court on Wednesday, Aug. 24, 2016, with Judge Emily G. Cowan, 84 cases were heard. Some cases were continued, dismissed or sent to superior court.

The following persons were convicted of a crime:

Marie Deirdre Bolling was convicted of two counts of misdemeanor larceny. Bolling was sentenced to 14 days in jail.

Joshua Nathan Bullman was convicted of assault with a deadly weapon and injury to personal property. Bullman was sentenced to 180 days in jail, with credit, two years supervised probation, $200 in restitution and court costs.

Tiffany Jacks Cavender was convicted of second-degree trespass. Cavender was sentenced to one day in jail with credit for time served.

Timothy Byron Jackson was convicted of operating a vehicle with improper equipment. Jackson was fined $40 and court costs.

Bryant Antwan Petty was convicted of simple possession of schedule VI controlled substance. Petty was to pay court costs.
