Columbus Police Dept. report for July

During the month of July 2016, the Columbus Police Department answered 158 calls for service, including seven wrecks, seven alarm calls, one domestic, three suspicious vehicles, four suspicious persons, six assist fire/EMS, three larcenies, seven stranded motorists, three disturbances, one involuntary commitment and one stolen vehicle.

There were six felony arrests, seven misdemeanor arrests, one driving while impaired arrest, two fugitive arrests, 13 speeding citations, one no operator’s license, one drug charge, three uninsured motorists, two reckless driving, four registration violations and one open container.

Officers completed a total of 6,142 premise checks, including 128 residential checks, 5,792 business checks and 222 church checks.

The department assisted other agencies 14 times for a total of 9.6 hours and completed 206 community patrols.
