Columbus Fire Dept. report for July

During the month of July 2016, the Columbus Fire Department responded to 168 calls for service.

Calls included 62 medical calls, five fire alarms, two vehicle fires, one fuel spill/hazmat, one landing zone, one motor vehicle accident with injury, seven motor vehicle accidents without injury, two tree down with power lines, 18 trees down without power lines, three stranded motorists, four calls for public service, four fire alarms in Tryon’s fire district, one structure fire in Tryon’s district, one landing zone in Tryon’s district, one tree down without power lines in Tryon’s district, one rescue call in Saluda’s fire district, one fire alarm in Saluda’s fire district, one motor vehicle accident without injury in Saluda’s fire district, one tree down with power lines in Saluda’s fire district, four fire alarms in Green Creek’s fire district, one brush fire in Green Creek’s fire district, one smoke complaint in Green Creek’s fire district, three fire alarms in Mill Spring’s fire district, one structure fire in Mill Spring’s fire district and one fire alarm in Sunny View’s fire district.
