Prior to 1998, Hensley was rehab coordinator for Paragon Rehabilitation, Inc.,  supervising rehabilitation programs in long-term care facilities in the WNC region.

From 1979 through 1995, she was employed by Charlotte Institute of Rehabilitation in Charlotte as director of rehab relations, supervisor of ambulatory services, urology program coordinator and staff nurse on the spinal cord and stroke unit.

“We are very pleased and feel most fortunate to have been able to engage someone with as much nursing and nurse management experience as Lynn has.  It isn’t often that you find someone like this and we are looking forward to her joining our White Oak family,” Mary Lance, administrator of White Oak of Tryon, said.

Hensley takes over from Pam Painter, RN, who has served as director of nursing for two years, leading the facility through deficiency free surveys in both of those years.

Painter will assume the position of restorative care supervisor.
