Polk County Middle School will host an open house for all students and parents on Thursday, Aug. 25.

For students and parents in seventh and eighth grades, open house will be held between 3 and 4:30 p.m. to meet your homeroom teacher and greet the other teachers of our school. Drop in anytime during that one and a half hours.

For students and parents in sixth grade, open house will be held from 4:30 to 6 p.m.  In addition to meeting your homeroom teacher you will also be given your locker assignment and lock.

From 6 to 6:30 p.m., a meeting will be held in the auditorium for sixth grade students and parents.  At that time information about the school will be given including the starting time of the school day, dismissal procedures, buses, cafeteria, attendance requirement and tips for parents focusing on the transition from elementary to middle school. Sixth grade parents are encouraged to attend this meeting if possible. The first day of school is August 28.
