Often we hear the phrase “youth are the hope of our future.” Polk County is fortunate to have many young people who personify that hope. There is one young man, Evan Beasley, whose chose to have family and friends bring birthday gifts, not for him, but those suitable for animals at Foothills Humane Society.

Although it would be unlikely we will know what direction Evan takes as he moves forward to adulthood, we believe his intelligent, respectful and compassionate personality will carry him far into the future and his chosen profession. We give “Thumbs Up” to Evan’s parents who have raised him to be a positive influence on his associates. Bravo!
