Beaumont Mill is filled with people for the first time in nearly 20 years. After a year of renovations, Spartanburg Regional Healthcare System relocated 600 administrative employees to the former textile mill.

These departments moved from Spartanburg Medical Center and Pinewood Resource Center, located on East Wood Street, to allow more space for patients at the hospital. Much of the original 18,000 square foot mill was preserved, including the original floors, exterior brick and expansive windows. The mill’s long history was incorporated into the renovations with photos and memorabilia displayed throughout the building.

Human resources, employment and recruitment, billing and medical records are among the many services relocated from Spartanburg Medical Center to Beaumont. No physician practices are located in Beaumont. The move is part of a 10-year master facility plan, which includes moving the main entrance of Spartanburg Medical Center back to North Church Street.
