McFarland Funeral Chapel in Tryon, N.C. will be collecting pet food to benefit Foothills Humane Society in Columbus, N.C. until Monday, Aug. 15.

“Pets are very close to the McFarland staff’s hearts,” explains general manager Brian Metcalf. “Both office manager Megan Smith and I have rescue dogs from Foothills Humane Society, and the funeral home loves giving back to both people and animals in our community.”

In June, McFarland Funeral Chapel staff volunteered at the Foothills Humane Society shelter, and this past May, the funeral home was a business sponsor for the Humane Society’s Animal Fair fundraiser.
