An opening of the reception for equestrian artist Barbara DiPalma will take place from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. Friday, July 27, at Carri Bass Photography and Art Gallery, 94 N. Trade St., Tryon.

“Love Shines” is DiPalma’s first professional art show. Along with being an equestrian professional of 20 years — serving as a certified instructor and judge — DiPalma is also a self-trained artist.

Visitors will learn from DiPalma herself about her quest to establish an Arabian Rescue Barn and Sanctuary during the event.
