“Chickens for Charity” is the name of the fun fundraiser Foothills Equestrian Nature Center is running on behalf of their TROT program. Fatz Café is sponsoring the fundraiser and providing — at a greatly reduced cost — their famous and delicious Calabash Chicken dinners as a means of raising funds to help support this wonderful program for children and adults.

TROT, the Therapeutic Riding Program of Tryon, is run by 40+ dedicated volunteers and their horses, for two eight-week sessions per year. The program serves individuals with physical, cognitive, developmental, and emotional challenges — wonderfully changing and enriching their lives.

Tickets for the chicken dinners are on sale now, and may be purchased at the following locations: Tryon Coffeehouse Co-op, The Farm House, Little Mountain Farm Supply, Tryon Equine Hospital, and FENCE. The “Chicken Picnic” Day is July 23; meals will be available at the Equestrian Pavilion at Mane Gate at Foothills Equestrian Nature Center at 3381 Hunting Country Road, Tryon.
