A highway patrolman, EMS personnel, forest ranger and firefighters were recent guests at the Summer Fun Days Camp. The attendees enjoyed lectures, demonstrations, as well as hands-on experience, which lead to a day packed full of educational and fun activities.

State Trooper Jessie Chavez, Fireman Angel Pena and Forest Ranger Brian Rogers were three of the featured guests who gave insight into what their jobs consist of. Green Creek Fire Department, Polk County EMS and Mill Spring Fire Department gave the kids a close up look at trucks and equipment, which was the highlight of the day.

Summer Fun Days Camp is sponsored by the Unity in the Community Organization and funded by the Polk County Community Foundation. The camp is held every Tuesday from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Breakfast and lunch are served daily and it is free for ages 8-16. Registration remains open.
