The Rotary Club of Tryon recently honored Carol Browning as Rotarian of the Year for 2015-2016.  She was presented with the Joseph W. Wells trophy, on which her name is engraved, and a plaque and pin. This is the 42nd year that the club has honored a Rotarian for service to the club and to the community.

Carol is treasurer of the Rotary Club of Tryon Foundation. In addition, she is treasurer for TDDA, for Carolina Community Chorus and for Our Carolina Foothills.  She is a valuable volunteer for Thermal Belt Outreach. Carol has developed and maintains a community wide calendar of events. She works behind the scenes for many nonprofits and even gets her talented husband, Lorin, to spend hours doing everything from taking beautiful pictures to redoing the financial system for Thermal Belt Outreach, and registering bikers on July 4 for the Rotary Fabulous Fourth Bike Tour before the sun rises!
