Columbus Police Department May report

During the month of May 2016, the Columbus Police Department answered 531 calls for service.

There were eight speeding citations, one no operator’s license, 13 drug charges, two careless and reckless driving and seven registration violations.

There five felony arrests, 10 misdemeanor arrests, one driving while impaired and three fugitives arrested.

Officers completed 189 residence checks, 7,393 business checks and 257 church checks.

Officers completed 40 hours of training, assisted other departments 17 times and completed 240 community patrols.
