Polk County District Court results for June 8

In Polk County District Court on Wednesday, June 8, with Judge Athena F. Brooks presiding, 166 cases were heard. Some cases were continued, dismissed or sent to superior court.

The following persons were convicted of a crime:

Austin Tylar Ball was convicted of operating a vehicle with improper equipment. Ball was fined $40 and court costs.

Bennie Lee Ballenger was convicted of level five driving while impaired. Ballenger was sentenced to one year unsupervised probation, 24 hours of community service, a $100 fine and court costs.

Whitney Sierra Blanks was convicted of failure to notify DMV of address change. Blanks was fined $90 and court costs.

Robert Junior Cherry was convicted of no rear seat belt. Cherry was fined $288.

Edward Roy Crismond was convicted of possession of schedule II controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. Crismond was sentenced to one year unsupervised probation, a $100 fine and court costs.

Andrew Benjamin Hamilton was convicted of second-degree trespass. Hamilton was to pay court costs.

Jerome E. Harvey was convicted of operating a vehicle with improper equipment. Harvey was fined $40 and court costs.

Aaron Scott Knight was convicted of possession of marijuana up to ½ ounce. Knight was fined $50 and court costs.

Michael Adam Miele was convicted of unsafe movement. Miele was fined $30 and court costs.

Braulo Rosale Montes was convicted of operating a vehicle with improper equipment. Montes was fined $40 and court costs.

Constance Prendergast was convicted of level 1 driving while impaired, level A1 driving while impaired and three counts of driving while license revoked-impaired revocation. Prendergast was sentenced to four years supervised probation, 120 days in jail, $1,100 in fines and court costs.

Travis Dewayne Reynolds was convicted of probation violation. Reynolds’ probation was revoked.

Douglas Roosevelt Jr. was convicted of possession of drug paraphernalia. Roosevelt was fined $50 and court costs.

Donny Tray Ruff was convicted of level five driving while impaired. Ruff was sentenced to one year unsupervised probation, 24 hours of community service, a $100 fine and court costs.

Joseph Anthony Scaduto was convicted of no rear seat belt. Scaduto was fined $25 and court costs.

Joey Ray Smith was convicted of level one driving while impaired and flee/elude arrest with motor vehicle. Smith was sentenced to 14 months in jail with credit for 54 days served for driving while impaired and 60 days in jail for flee/elude arrest.

Charles Wade Steiner was convicted of level two driving while impaired, breaking or entering and misdemeanor larceny. Steiner was sentenced to 18 months supervised probation, 10 days in jail, a $300 fine and court costs.

Tommy D. Williams was convicted of level five driving while impaired. Williams was sentenced to one year unsupervised probation, 24 hours of community service, a $100 fine and court costs.
