Beverly Gregory retires after 50 years of service

On Friday, June 10, over 75 people attended a retirement party for Beverly Gregory in the PCMS Media Center. During the reception Ronette Dill, Aaron Green, Dave Scherping and Bill Miller gave words about Mrs. Gregory’s service to Polk County Schools. At the end, Mr. Utz gave a presentation with a dedication of the PCMS Media Center in Mrs. Gregory’s honor.

Mrs. Gregory will retire on June 30 with 50 years in public education. She taught for 16 years in South Carolina and seven years in Georgia before coming to Polk County to teach mathematics. She has worked with Polk County Schools for the last 23 years. Mrs. Gregory was a vital part of transitioning four middle schools into one when Polk County Middle School was formed and she became the Director of Curriculum and Instruction.
