Director named for Summer Fun Day Camp

and driver education instructor at the Polk County High School will be the director for the “Summer Fun Day Camp” for youth ages 8-16, that is set to be held every Tuesday beginning June 21 through August 9, from 9 a.m. – 1 p.m.

The Summer Fun Days will assist young people in developing competencies that will enable them to grow, develop their skills, and become healthy, responsible and caring youth and young adults through mentoring, arts, leadership development, vocational skill building, health and fitness.

The program will offer arts and crafts, educational enrichments, field trips, recreational activities, healthy snacks and lunch.

The Summer Fun Days will be held at Zion Grove A.M.E. Zion Church, 5620 Pea Ridge Rd., Mill Spring. Registration will remain open all summer. You may call Linda Hines at 828-289-9627 or Faye Jones at 828-223-0687 or email uitcfoothills@gmail.com.

The program is funded by the Unrestricted Grant Fund at the Polk County Community Foundation.
