Back, neck pain topic of St. Luke’s Hospital rehab education program

Published 10:00 pm Thursday, June 9, 2016

St. Luke’s Hospital Rehabilitation Services will offer information and tips on dealing with back and neck pain on Wednesday, June 22, 1-3 p.m., in the hospital boardroom.

Jamie Cehlar, DPT, will discuss causes, symptoms, and treatment of back and neck pain and offer insight to attendees on how to prevent and relieve pain. Light refreshments will be served, and attendance is free. The lecture is part of the hospital’s monthly Rehab Education Series.

“Two of the most common body aches and pains, especially in the elderly, are in the neck and back,” Cehlar said. “They could indicate a larger problem, or they could just be the normal toll of an aging body, but it’s important to know how to deal with them properly either way.”
