Daniel Howard Schoren Jr., age 20, of Mill Spring, N.C., died Saturday, June 4, 2016 at Dupont State Park in Transylvania County, N.C.

He was a native of Cleveland, Ohio and the son of Daniel Howard Schoren Sr. and Julie Schoren.

Daniel was a beloved son, grandson, brother and uncle and loved to do anything related to the outdoors. He was preceded in death by his brother Derrek Nicholas Schoren, a sister Kathlynne Schoren, a cousin Nicholas Schoren and paternal grandparents Howard J. Schoren and Katherine B. Schoren.

In addition to his parents, Daniel is survived by his maternal grandparents, Richard and Suzanne Armstrong; two sisters, Olivia Jane Schoren and Juliette Elise Schoren; one nephew, Gabe Nelon; and numerous aunts and uncles.

The memorial service will be at Gilkey United Methodist Church in Gilkey, N.C. at 11 a.m. Friday, June 10, 2016 with Reverend Michael Haire officiating. In lieu of flowers the family is requesting memorials be made to the Daniel H. Schoren Memorial Fund at P.O. Box 324 Mill Spring, NC 28756.
