Polk County District Court results for May 18

In Polk County District Court held on Wednesday, May 18, 2016, 91 cases were heard. Some cases were continued, dismissed or sent to superior court.
The following persons were convicted of a crime:
Dylan Lee Van Beek was convicted of speeding 79 mph in a 65 mph zone. Beek was fined $90 and court costs.
Justin M. Caldwell was convicted of resisting public officer. Caldwell was sentenced to four days in jail with credit for time served.
Christian Ramirez Lopez was convicted of level four driving while impaired. Lopez was sentenced to 48 hours in jail, one year unsupervised probation, a $500 fine and court costs.
India Danielle Miller was convicted of possession of marijuana up to ½ ounce. Miller was to pay court costs.
Kevin Matthew Nowels was convicted of speeding 74 mph in a 65 mph zone. Nowels was fined $30 and court costs.
Angela Christian Robbs was convicted of misdemeanor larceny. Robbs was sentenced to 30 days in jail with credit for time served.
